Zachary Cooper-Baldock

Zachary Cooper-Baldock

Zachary Cooper-Baldock is a seasoned AI & Machine Learning consultant with over six years of experience bridging advanced research and real-world impact.

He holds a PhD in Machine Learning and is 1 of 10 members of the Australian HPC-AI Talent Program. He is a John Crampton Scholar in Artificial Intelligence and a recipient of Flinders University’s Overseas Fellowship for his work with Southampton University, fostering energy efficient machine learning solutions internationally.

He is the lead author of multiple peer-reviewed papers on machine learning across diverse application areas. In collaboration with companies like Boeing and PrioriAnalytica, Zachary has architected end-to-end ML solutions—from distributed model training on HPC and cloud clusters to containerized edge deployments on small handheld devices.

Today, he advises executive teams on AI strategy, scalable data architectures, responsible governance, and building high-performance ML talent.

Catherine Cooper

Catherine Cooper

Catherine Cooper is an accomplished Chair and Non-Executive Director with over 25 years of leadership experience across ASX-listed companies, government authorities, and R&D-driven organisations.

She combines deep legal and commercial expertise—holding an LLB and GDLP from The University of Adelaide—with strategic governance in infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, water, and sustainability. Catherine has overseen major projects such as the Adelaide Desalination Plant and large-scale materials recycling facilities, and she has driven net-zero ESG initiatives and regulatory reforms in environmental protection.

As a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she currently chairs the SA Environmental Protection Authority and serves on boards including Grains Australia, RACE for 2030 CRC, and Energy Consumers Australia, where she champions risk management, stakeholder engagement, and high-performance governance.

Nicholas Baldock

Nicholas Baldock

Nicholas Baldock is a seasoned commercial lawyer and company governance advisor with over 35 years of experience guiding businesses through emerging technology initiatives.

Admitted to practice in 1988, he combines deep expertise in complex commercial transactions, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance to support AI strategy, vendor agreements, and risk frameworks.

Nicholas has appeared in every South Australian court and advised on litigation matters in all other Australian jurisdictions. As part of Cooper Consult’s AI practice, he structures contracts for AI model licensing, defines governance policies for ethical deployment, and advises SMEs and research centres on IP protection and data‐use agreements.

He also serves as Company Secretary to several tech‐focused CRCs and medical start-ups, and sits on the boards of not-for-profit organisations in healthcare and cancer support. A graduate of the University of Adelaide (LLB) and member of the Law Society of South Australia, he is admitted to the Supreme Courts of South Australia, Queensland, the Federal Court, and the High Court of Australia.
